First day of editing, this was not as successful as I had imagined it might be. Basically I had quite a lot to work with in terms of what I could use for the film so I guess I just have to be more selective next time. I also found that making a cohesive progressive body of work was difficult when I hadn't thought about the sequence of the film in terms of an over arching ideal plan or concept.
What I tried to do today was use the film photographs that had a light leak and that I used a prism to take photographs through as frames for my film, this was done by scanning in the photos and cropping the area that wanted. Then importing the scanned in images into Adobe Premier. when they were in there I found they were really pixelated because they were obviously such a small scale when they were initially scanned in. At first i was extremely unhappy it looked like a tacky slideshow especially as when the files were imported they were not in any relevant order so there was no flow to the frames. However
-did not go well..tried to make a mock up film which did not work very well too pixelated wast fast enough needed way more frames really
-i'm kinda just behind schedule on making i should have started to edit clips earlier than i didi should have left myself a little more time as stuff with computers always takes the piss.

As you can see the first half of this example is where I have tried to smooth out the jerky disjointed movement between frames.
[Second example incorporating stop motion animations]

Here you can see the transitions and work that i did with the photos looks much more sophisticated and not just like a slideshow of images. I used this as a backround because it is fairly neutral and tried to incorporate the stop animation that I did usin the OHP projector. Im not sure how successful this really is i prefered the film without the rawn animation really it was aesthetically much weaker than simply havin the background as the main focus in this example anyway. I am sure however with reater knowledge of the editing program that it could look much better, I'm just not sure that it would be worth focussing my time in that area at the moment.

Probably the most successful example of work today, I think that this works well really and I'm certain that this is going to be the introduction to the film that im producing. I am always concerned about the finish and quality of work that im producing but I feel okay about this as an introduction because it is fairly subtle and the problem with my thoughts at the moment is knowing what to leave out because i have quite a lot of options really. So its really a case of being selective really and not over producing it, i guess its the same problem you face with most work..knowing when to stop.
