So my plans went ahead, it wasnt looking too great in the morning by 11 i had yet to start the work that i had planned. I had literally finished the film using sand and ink that I had planned and got a recording of that before the projector chewed up the reel on that one. Here is the recording of that.....

Anyway back to the main body of work that I did today, i set up the projector in the main room where i had been working before and set up some white sheets hanging from the ceiling. when i actually came to turn on the projector though it was like 50cm across, which was ridiculous and much smaller than I had hoped. After a bit of discussion and deliberation I decided to move everyone to the photography studio where there is much better lightin,g and not a window in the ceiling! This was much better than the conditions that I was working in before the projected image was also much more vibrantwith the lower light levels. The size of the image on the sheets however was a problem still because of the size of the room I couldn't get the projector further back in order to capture the silhouette of more than their torso.

However we were able to project the image onto a full length mirror that was in the room and this enlarged the image to a reasonable size, all that was left was to get people dancing really. This was fairly difficult for the people I asked to dance at first because of course they weren't really used to dancing along to a sitar. I think i got some good movement and shapes though. The only problem was that because i didnt have time to get hold of some material i had to use some from the college supply and this was in narrow strips. So i had to use a couple and you can see the join in the middle. I can edit the video to disguise this but I think the next time that I will be more prepared.

Another issue is the quality of sound that I was able to record, I would love to arrange to get some sound or music recorded in a more professional setting because this would make a huge difference to the work and the finished product.
