Fairy Lights

This was work exploring light and movement, I really wanted to try a method of capturing the moving image rather than stills but when I was using the video camera it clearly looked like it was a person wrapped up in hundreds of lights which is not really what I was after. The still images themselves work wonderfully though mainly because you only get hints of the human form.



The image above shows what I was working with really, this is what how the lights were arranged around my body as you can see it was a fairly extensive spattering.



I really like in these examples where you can almost see the force as if energy is forcing itself through the air its very explosive however at the same time controlled.







My favourite example would have to be this next one, I really love how the setting becomes part of the imae it looks as though it has a life of its own and we are just experiencing some sort of abnormal occurance. The unseeming surroundings are what make the picture for me. Its as though this enery has expanded out from a singularity.



I think i definitely need to capture motion rather than these still ideas if im to move my project forward.
